I needed a new, bigger Ultrasonic Cleaner for my PCB's so settled on an Allendale-Ultrasonics cleaner, and at the same time tried out a couple of different cleaning solutions.
9 Litre Dial Ultrasonic Cleaner Tank with Heated Bath here. Electrolube Safewash SWAS here.
Update 15/11/2018:
Following my video I contacted Allendale and pointed them towards my video. Happy with the actual cleaner, but wanted more production/manufacturing info, and I wanted information on why the Allendale cleaner solution wasn't working too well. Was it just down to the flux I was using?
Here's what Jo Kuhn, manager at Allendale has said to me:
"I have forwarded the video to our engineer to watch, his initial thoughts are the same as yours, it’s possible that the results may be due to the type of flux.
However, Dave, one of our on site engineers, will watch and come back to you shortly if there are any suggestions we can make. We take this type of feedback very seriously and we will be researching this more.
With regards to your query about China, I can confirm the units are manufactured in China. However, what sets our tanks apart is that we have our own facility in Hangzhou, and the tanks are manufactured to our own strict specifications. The tanks were developed by our UK engineers and quality checked at our UK Headquarters. Any warranty claims are dealt with here in Hertfordshire and we have a team of engineers and product specialists on hand to assist with any queries.
Whilst we are, of course, aware that cheaper tanks are available from China, we offer a next working day delivery service with full UK support that cannot be rivalled. We often receive queries regarding support and repair for the similar tanks, however they are not always manufactured to the same standards and cannot always accept our spare parts.
I hope this helps. We are offering 15% off all items from Monday 19th November to Thursday 29th November as part of our Black Friday sale."
