A short video covering the unplanned repair of a brand new Alesis MultiMix4USB 2ch mixing console that I had purchased via Ebay for use in the workshop. The problem was that phantom power functionality on the desk was broken, and instead of getting the usual 48vdc I was getting over 70vdc and it was causing havoc with my new microphone. Follow me as I go through the diagnosis and quick-fix repair.
